UFest is growing and we need YOU to help us make it successful!
We have several exciting opportunities available for anyone wanting to join one of our planning committees.
Volunteering at a committee level is very fun and satisfying, can grow your network of contacts and can also enhance your resume!

Available Opportunities:
Description:
- Send out and monitor Community Pavilion applications and communicate details to participants
- Coordinate details/logistics for Community Pavilion and Ukr Heritage tents
- Be the Community Pavilion & Ukr Heritage tent “go to” person during festival
Notes: Could potentially be 2 positions to split the workload
As part of the Marketing & Communications Committee, you would:
- Develop a social media strategy for UFest
- Manage UFest social media channels including Facebook, Instagram and X throughout the year
- Work with content coordinator and graphic designer to create social media content using tools such as Canva
- Coordinate a social media team to provide live social media converge during the festival
Note:
- Proficient in English language
- Ukrainian language skills an asset but not required
- Experience in paid social media advertising an asset but not required
As part of the Marketing & Communications Committee, you would:
- Work with social media lead to translate/create Ukrainian content for our social media channels
- Assist in providing live social media converge (in Ukrainian) during the festival
Notes:
- Proficient in English and Ukrainian languages
- Familiar with social media channels
As part of the Marketing & Communications Committee, you would:
- Capture engaging photos during the festival
- Edit photos as required
- Work with social media team to post photos on social channels
Note: Experience with videography an asset but not required
As part of the Marketing & Communications Committee, you would:
- Capture engaging video footage of the festival
- Edit compelling video content for promotional materials and social media.
Note: Experience with photography an asset but not required
As part of the Marketing & Communications Committee, you would:
- Manage and update content on UFest website using WordPress
Notes:
- Proficient in English language
- Ukrainian language skills an asset but not required
- Contacting potential vendors for quotes
- Liaising with attractions vendors through the year and during festival weekend to ensure proper timings and setup
- Assist in arranging and decorating attractions (train, Photo wall)
Note: Good English skills needed as vendors are almost solely english speaking
- Assist Sponsorship Chair in following up with contacts and opportunities
Notes:
- Proficient with MS Office
- Comfortable in making followup calls/communication
- Assist in vendor selection
- Assist in communications with vendors
- On-site vendor liaison during festival
Notes:
- Good command of English is essential
- Ability to speak Ukrainian is an asset
- Assist in managing Volunteer Sign Up portal
- Assist in shift scheduling and communication with volunteers
- At event , assist with volunteer orientation, volunteer check in, volunteer management
Notes:
- Good command of English is essential
- Ability to speak Ukrainian is an asset
- Assist in recruiting workshops and demo’s presenters and communicate clearly with presenters on what expectations, materials and assistance is needed both leading up to and during the festival.
- Be available throughout the festival (predetermined shifts Friday-Sunday) to ensure the festival runs smoothly.
- Help with gathering supplies, set up, organizing volunteers, selling tickets, assisting with workshops, tear down and inventory.

- We would need one individual who is bilingual.
