Edmonton – May 15, 2024

Join Edmonton’s Ukrainian community May 24 and 25, 2024 at Borden Park for UFest, Edmonton’s Ukrainian Festival, the largest in western Canada.  These two days are packed with non-stop entertainment on three outdoor stages featuring local, national and international performers.  Bring your lawn chair, and let lively Ukrainian music, colourful costumes put a smile on your face, or stroll around the site and check out food vendors, the marketplace, or enjoy a cool craft beer and other beverages.

Admission to UFest is free! Kids activities, crafts, petting zoo, mini train rides and other family focused activities are available at no charge.  Visit the Heritage Pavilion where Ukrainian artifacts and museum pieces will be on display or the Community Pavilion where 15 organizations will provide information about their programs and services.  Bring your curiosity and spend an enjoyable afternoon learning and experiencing Ukrainian culture.

For those who enjoy the night life, UFest After Dark is for you.  Each night features popular Ukrainian Zabava (zabava means dance party in Ukrainian) bands that will get you out on the dance floor. Euphoria Zabava Band, Millennia and Zabava Band Trembita will keep you moving into the evening. UFest After Dark begins after 8:00 pm each day.

Each year UFest invites another cultural community to be part of the fun!  This year’s featured culture is the French-Canadian community.  Le Fuzz Trio, Daniel Gervais Trio, and La Troupe Zéphyr are this year’s guest performers and visit over a dozen French-Canadian organizations in the Guest Culture tent.

This years charitable partner is “Firefighter Aid Ukraine”.  UFest will be collecting donations on behalf of Firefighter Aid Ukraine to help with their specific fundraising projects.
